Swiss watchmaker Carl F. Bucherer, which supports the conservation of endangered manta rays, is holding a "Patravi ScubaTec Campaign" until Thursday, September 30, 2021, offering an annual passport to the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium to purchasers of its divers' watch.

Manta rays, marine creatures whose graceful underwater movements are captivating. However, manta rays are facing extinction. Since 2013, Carl F. Bucherer has partnered with the UK-based non-profit organization "Manta Trust," supporting their research and conservation activities, as well as the protection of marine environments where manta rays live.

Carl F. Bucherer consistently depicts manta rays on its divers' watch, the "Patravi ScubaTec." The collection features manta rays engraved on the case back, manta-inspired patterns across the dial, and even manta motifs painted on the dial, making it a watch collection intrinsically linked to these magnificent creatures.

One of the places in Japan where you can encounter these fascinating manta rays is the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium. The aquarium's "Kuroshio Sea" tank houses giant oceanic manta rays with a maximum wingspan of 4 meters, the all-black "black manta rays," and the dwarf wedgefishes, the smallest species with a maximum wingspan of 2 meters. This is a truly rare location, being the only aquarium in the world to exhibit all these types of manta rays together.

In the "Patravi ScubaTec Campaign," purchasers of the ScubaTec watch receive a voucher for two adult annual passports to the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, where they can encounter manta rays, along with an original mask and an original eco-bag from the "Manta Trust."
