BIZOUX
Introducing the "Lab-Grown Series" Featuring In-Demand Lab-Grown Gemstones
Jewelry brand BIZOUX has launched the sustainable "Lab-Grown Series" using lab-grown gemstones (synthetic gems). The first release features six items: rings and necklaces with alexandrite, often called the "king of gemstones."
First Release: Rings and Necklaces Featuring Large Alexandrite, the "King of Gemstones"
Lab-grown gemstones, particularly diamonds, have been gaining attention recently. These gems, created through advanced scientific technology, are favored not only for their efficient use of limited resources but also for their ethical aspects, avoiding the environmental damage and harsh labor associated with mining.
The alexandrite featured in the first "Lab-Grown Series" release is known for its striking color change, described as "emerald by day, ruby by night." However, natural alexandrite is found only in limited locations worldwide, and its production is decreasing annually, making high-quality stones exceptionally rare.
For this collection, BIZOUX uses rough natural alexandrite that was set aside due to imperfections in crystallization or clarity. These stones are refined and re-crystallized, replicating the process by which natural stones form within the Earth's magma. The manufacturing is handled by Kyocera, ensuring the composition and properties are identical to natural stones. Grown in an ideal environment, they exhibit high clarity and minimal impurities.
Furthermore, the ability to cultivate stones of specific sizes and shapes, which would be difficult to mine naturally, is another appeal. This collection utilizes large, 5mm alexandrite stones, which are rarely seen in nature. To showcase these generous cuts, both the rings and necklaces feature a simple yet luxurious design with four prongs, exuding an air of elegance.
The "Lab-Grown Series" aims to reduce "gemstone loss"—a significant issue during gemstone creation—by producing "lab-grown colored stones." Star rubies were released in June 2022, and padparadscha sapphires are planned for future release.
BIZOUX's "Lab-Grown Series" offers a new choice in sustainable and ethical jewelry. Discover its earth-kind radiance.
