MAURICE LACROIX is releasing the "AIKON #TIDE BENZILLA," a special edition of the "AIKON #TIDE," which garnered attention for its contribution to cleaning the oceans by upcycling plastic waste. This collaboration with BENZILLA, a Thai artist and member of the MAURICE LACROIX crew, will be available from August 2022.

For over 40 years, MAURICE LACROIX has been dedicated to technological development in watchmaking in the Swiss Jura region, earning over 15 awards and establishing itself as a leading Swiss watch brand.

The "AIKON #TIDE" watch, launched in March 2022, is crafted from upcycled ocean plastic using innovative technology, resulting in a high-quality timepiece with vibrant, pop-inspired colors. Amidst growing attention on the SDGs, it has gained recognition for its contribution to cleaning the oceans.

Launching this August is a special edition of the "AIKON #TIDE," the "AIKON #TIDE BENZILLA," a collaboration with BENZILLA, a Thai artist and one of MAURICE LACROIX's crew members.

This timepiece is made from upcycled ocean-bound plastic—plastic waste found within approximately 50 km of coastlines—utilizing 17 plastic bottles, which are a source of marine pollution, to create one watch and its accompanying packaging, also made from the same material.

This watch embodies a new approach to luxury watchmaking, aiming to reduce the causes of marine pollution.

The design showcases BENZILLA's signature vibrant aesthetic, utilizing the power of color with playful shades of black, orange, and light blue. The dial features his distinctive three-eyed character, "LOOOK."

Another appealing feature is the easy strap-swapping system, which allows for strap changes without special tools, enabling wearers to personalize their style.
