Launched in October 2020, JPN, a Japanese watch brand acclaimed for its high quality, is releasing three models of the "130R Q1," which pursues even greater lightness, each in a limited quantity of 50 units.

Achieving a Total Weight of 52 Grams with Cutting-Edge Materials
The new "130R Q1" from JPN is a chronograph model based on the "130R," inspired by motorsports, featuring an ultra-lightweight, robust carbon case that offers exceptional comfort. This development was realized by applying the knowledge and technology regarding racing car materials and performance cultivated by Masato Shimoyama, JPN's watch conceptor and an active racing driver.
The collection name Q1 is inspired by F1's "Qualifying 1." Just as qualifying progresses from Q1 to Q3, we pursued advancements in wearability, and as a first step, we succeeded in reducing weight by approximately 16 percent compared to the standard model. Furthermore, this model employs robust and luxurious materials such as carbon, titanium, and polycarbonate, actually used in top-tier racing cars. Even under harsh conditions exceeding 300 km/h and experiencing forces up to 5G, it ensures high visibility and offers a feather-light, exceptional wearing experience.
The movement is a reliable, environmentally friendly Japanese solar quartz movement, freeing users from the hassle of battery changes while pursuing high precision and everyday usability. With 10 ATM water resistance, it is also suitable for various sports activities.
A key feature of this model is its uniquely designed forged carbon dial. The two-layer dial, made of carbon on polycarbonate, is accented with a central chronograph second hand (1/5 sec) in a vivid color, inspired by racing car tachometers. Additionally, by applying Super-LumiNova® to the applied bar indices and hour/minute hands at three times the conventional thickness, both the luminous intensity and duration are significantly increased, greatly enhancing visibility in the dark.
The strap comes with a pre-assembled semi-transparent rubber material, but it also includes an interchangeable FKM rubber strap in the same color as the chronograph 1/5 sec hand, along with a dedicated screwdriver, allowing for two distinct looks.
