Piaget Polo Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin
In 2023, the Piaget Polo, an icon of the Maison, welcomes its most distinguished model: the Piaget Polo Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin, powered by the 1255P perpetual calendar movement.
The Perpetual Calendar: A Symbol of Complex Mechanics
The Piaget Polo, beloved by luminaries such as Nancy Reagan, Roger Moore, Andy Warhol, and Björn Borg, has become an icon of the Maison. Available in gold and stainless steel, this unisex collection embodies the brand's spirit of shared joy, sophistication, and glamour, exuding a unique personality and aura.
The Piaget Polo now introduces its most distinguished model, the Piaget Polo Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin, featuring the 1255P perpetual calendar movement. This exquisite new timepiece not only showcases one of watchmaking's most iconic complications but also includes a moon phase display.
This marks the first time the collection features a perpetual calendar. This complication, a culmination of the expertise accumulated and honed across other collections, is engineered to accurately display the day, date, and year until 2100. It indicates the year, moon phase, and leap year cycle, distinguishing between months with 28, 29, 30, or 31 days. Humanity's age-old fascination with the cosmos has driven the evolution of timekeeping technology, leading to the birth of this movement through continuous innovation.
The dark emerald green dial, adorned with the signature gadroon motif, features three subdials at 3, 9, and 12 o'clock indicating the date, month (with leap year display), and day of the week, respectively. A moon phase complication is positioned at 6 o'clock. The dial, enhanced by Super-LumiNova-treated indexes, shifts its appearance with the light, revealing a multifaceted beauty.
The collection's signature gadroon motif graces both the case and bracelet, reinforcing the connection between the new generation of the Piaget Polo and its origins. The bracelet incorporates the latest single-touch system, and a comfortable rubber strap, designed to echo the dial's gadroon decoration, is also included.
Priced at 7.7 million yen (tax included), it is scheduled for release in September.
