PIAGET | Altiplano Ultimate Automatic
From Piaget, the "Altiplano Ultimate Concept Tourbillon" and "Altiplano Ultimate Automatic," embodying the pinnacle of elegance and innovation, have arrived. Each is presented in gold and khaki green, revealing a more sophisticated aesthetic.
A Tourbillon Achieving Ultimate Thinness
Since unveiling its in-house ultra-thin manual-winding 9P movement in 1957 and the ultra-thin automatic 12P movement in 1960, Piaget has achieved numerous milestones in ultra-thin watchmaking. The Altiplano collection, born from this heritage, symbolizes the refined beauty of its mechanisms, technical boldness, and timeless purity.
The Altiplano collection continues to break records, with the "Altiplano Ultimate Concept" receiving the prestigious "Aiguille d'Or" (Golden Hand Award) at the Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix (GPHG) in 2020. These new models represent the culmination of nearly 70 years of dedication.
Following the "150th Anniversary Limited Edition" announced in 2024, these new models feature a refined color palette of khaki green and yellow gold.
The color schemes, developed exclusively for this collection, blend sophistication with boldness, expressing natural elegance and contemporary allure.
The 41.5mm cobalt alloy case boasts an astonishing thickness of just 2.0mm. For the first time, a sapphire case back is employed, allowing an unobstructed view of the Calibre 970P-UC. The case and movement are integrated, with the case back itself functioning as the main plate of the movement, achieving a sophisticated unification.
The traditional Altiplano cross motif has been reinterpreted and incorporated into the layout of the ratchet wheel, balance wheel, and screws. These details further emphasize the connection between tradition and innovation.
Additionally, it is paired with a khaki green calfskin strap featuring a newly developed "polished mesh" pattern, a finish reminiscent of Piaget's goldsmithing expertise.
Meanwhile, the "Altiplano Ultimate Automatic" upholds the tradition of thin watchmaking with a case thickness of just 4.3mm, positioned as a more accessible timepiece. The 41mm case makes its debut in yellow gold, creating a brilliant contrast with the deep khaki green dial and matching alligator strap.
The khaki green bridges and the peripheral rotor, finished in slate grey and green tones, complement the warmth of the yellow gold case. This design achieves automatic winding without compromising the watch's slim proportions.
Both models, with their harmonious proportions, sophisticated color palettes, and uncompromising pursuit of form and function, elegantly adorn the wrists of both men and women.
Among its other features, the "Altiplano Ultimate Concept Tourbillon" joins Piaget's "Infinitely Personal" program. Through a dedicated online configurator, clients can collaborate with a sales advisor to select finishes, materials, and engravings, personalizing this groundbreaking timepiece to their unique style.
This reflects Piaget's long-held philosophy that all its creations should mirror the individuality of the wearer.
