Longines to serve as Official Timekeeper through 2030.
The Commonwealth Games is an international multi-sport event where athletes from Commonwealth nations and territories compete against each other. Held every four years, the 22nd edition in 2022 features 20 sports and over 5,000 participants.
Longines' relationship with the Commonwealth Games began with the 1962 Perth Games in Australia, followed by the 2014 Glasgow Games in Scotland and the 2018 Gold Coast Games in Australia. This partnership as Timekeeper has now been renewed, with Longines also confirmed to serve as Official Timekeeper for the 2026 and 2030 Games.
To commemorate its first participation as Timekeeper at the 2022 Birmingham Games in England, Longines is introducing the "HydroConquest XXII Commonwealth Games," a limited edition of 2,022 pieces.
The "HydroConquest," favored by many athletes for its high functionality and sporty design, sees its limited edition model fuse the logo colors of the Commonwealth Games with a black ceramic bezel and a sunray-finished dial. By applying vivid colors to the classic black, a fresh dynamism is infused into its basic aesthetic.
Furthermore, to enhance its exclusivity, the case back is engraved with the logo of the 2022 Birmingham Games and the limited edition numbering. In terms of performance, it boasts the high specifications characteristic of the HydroConquest, including Longines' exclusive automatic movement equipped with a silicon balance spring.
