The New "Legend Diver" Blends Refined Design and Color with Longines' Heritage
The legendary "Longines Legend Diver," which has etched its name in the history of dive watches for over half a century since the development of its waterproof push-piece in 1937. This series, a captivating icon for many Longines fans, now welcomes new models in sand beige, ash grey, royal blue, and a vibrant burgundy.
A Rich Palette of Nuanced Colors
Longines' development of water-resistant watches dates back to 1937. The following year, they developed the world's first chronograph with an innovative, patented waterproof push-button, and in 1958, introduced their first diver's watch for the general public. The diver's watch, expanded upon and becoming legendary over many years, evolved into a series symbolizing its rich history in 2007.

The 2022 collection features not only the popular 42mm case size, offering a subtle presence on the wrist, but also a classic 36mm model. Available in sand beige, ash grey, royal blue, and a vibrant burgundy, these watches showcase a rich variety of nuanced colors. Each model is equipped with the iconic inner bezel symbolizing Longines' dive watch history, a box sapphire crystal, two screw-down crowns, and a highly water-resistant screw-down case back.
The dial, with its beautiful classic gradient reminiscent of sun-kissed tones, features hands and square hour markers coated with Super-LumiNova® for enhanced legibility. The indices are designed with bold Gothic Arabic numerals for excellent readability. The case back is engraved with a diver's emblem, honoring the original model. The movement is an automatic winding caliber (Caliber L888.5 for the 42mm model, Caliber L592.5 for the 36mm model) with a 5-year warranty and a silicon balance spring.
The 42mm models come with fabric straps in matching colors for the sand beige and ash grey dials, and a sporty NATO fabric strap for the grey dial. The 36mm models feature fabric straps in matching colors for the burgundy and sand beige dials, while the blue dial is paired with a matching blue leather strap.
The "Longines Legend Diver" embodies Longines' rich history in dive watches and the technological innovations accumulated over many years. This new collection, with its distinctive details and refined design inherited from the original model's DNA, speaks to Longines' continuous evolution.
