Timeless Design Codes Meet Cutting-Edge Technology in a New Creation
Breguet announces the "Classique 7137," a new addition to the "Classique" collection, embodying a timeless elegance that represents the purest expression of the Breguet style. Its defining feature is the dial, adorned with the brand's signature traditional guilloché. Distinct guilloché patterns artfully differentiate the subdials for improved readability, further enhanced by Breguet hands with their characteristic rounded motifs and Roman numerals.
The traditional guilloché technique, with its strong handcrafted elements, is executed by artisans who operate machines to engrave circular decorative patterns, while straight lines are etched using a "straight-line machine." On this model, the power reserve display features a basket-weave pattern known as "panier," the date display uses a checkerboard motif called "damier," and the main dial area is embellished with a hobnail pattern, "clous de Paris."
The dial of the "Classique 7137" pays homage to this pocket watch, previously crafted by Breguet.
The dial is available in two versions: 18K gold, either in silver or Breguet blue. Both are new this year, and in keeping with Breguet tradition, the watch's individual serial number and secret signature are engraved on the dial. The case is exceptionally thin at only 8.65 mm, featuring fluting on the sides. The leather strap is secured to elegantly curved, soldered lugs that provide strength and comfortable wear. Inside, the ultra-thin Calibre 502.3 is housed, with its gold rotor also adorned with guilloché decoration.
This timepiece, which incorporates timeless design codes while employing cutting-edge technology, is offered in two variations: an 18K white gold model and an 18K rose gold model.
