Carl F. Bucherer has added the new diver's watch 'Patravi ScubaTec Black' to its Patravi ScubaTec collection, which is equipped with powerful and robust functions essential for underwater activities like diving. It is scheduled to be available from May 2020.

Following the "Black Manta Special Edition" released by Carl F. Bucherer in 2019 to support a project aimed at protecting manta rays, a new model, the "Patravi ScubaTec Black," has been added to the Patravi ScubaTec collection. This timepiece is a diver's watch with a powerful and robust design, enveloped in deep black. Boasting 50 bar water resistance and chronometer-certified precision, this model accurately assists in any marine adventure while also being perfect for everyday use.

Inspired by the distinctive design of the acclaimed "Black Manta Special Edition," this new model features a lightweight titanium case and a matte black DLC-coated unidirectional rotating bezel. The bezel is crafted from highly scratch-resistant ceramic and features markers with luminous paint on the 60-minute scale. The black dial is complemented by black indices coated with Super-LumiNova®. The hour, minute, and second hands are also treated with excellent luminous paint, signaling the time with a blue glow even in darkness. A date window at 3 o'clock further enhances the dial's balanced aesthetic.

Inside, the automatic chronometer movement, caliber CFB 1950.1, with a 38-hour power reserve, reliably keeps time. Its exceptional accuracy has been officially certified by COSC (the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute), an independent chronometer testing body in Switzerland.

Beyond its distinctive design, the "Black Manta Special Edition" also inspired the material selection, emphasizing sustainability. For example, the black rubber strap, which complements the sporty yet elegant watch, is made from 100% recycled material derived in part from plastic bottles collected from the ocean. Additionally, this new model is also available with a black rubber strap featuring a distinctive embossed pattern.
