Tourbillon and Chronograph Simultaneously Mounted on an Ultra-Thin Movement

From Bulgari's "Octo Finissimo," a fusion of innovative thinness and refined design, comes the new "Octo Finissimo Tourbillon Chronograph Skeleton Automatic." This timepiece features an ultra-thin skeletonized mechanical manufacture movement, a single-push chronograph, and a tourbillon. Limited to 50 pieces worldwide, it is scheduled for release in October 2020.

Since its debut in 2014, Bulgari's Octo watch has continuously pushed the boundaries of innovative thinness. Through a series of historical achievements, the "Octo Finissimo" has consistently redefined watch design codes, emerging as new and original models.

This has since evolved into the theme of the Octo collection, characterizing charisma, elegance, and boldness. From this collection, rooted in excellence and artistry, comes the new "Octo Finissimo Tourbillon Chronograph Skeleton Automatic," achieving its sixth world record. This timepiece, a remarkable creation, condenses excellence and performance into a mere 7.4mm thickness, housing an ultra-thin skeletonized mechanical manufacture movement, automatic winding, a single-push chronograph, and a tourbillon.

The movement itself is only 3.5mm thick, combining the complex mechanisms of a single-push chronograph and a tourbillon, driven by a peripheral rotor. This innovative development was realized through highly sophisticated technical solutions, including a horizontal clutch and column wheel to ensure optimal performance.

This ultra-thin movement marks the sixth new record in the watch industry. The dial features skeletonization, allowing a view of the intricate workings of the BVL 388 caliber from the front.

Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of the Bulgari Group, commented, "2020 is the year Bulgari sets a world record with this new ultra-thin 'Octo Finissimo Tourbillon Chronograph Skeleton Automatic.' This marks the sixth consecutive year of world records for the 'Octo Finissimo.'"

"We already unveiled the 'Serpenti Seduttori Tourbillon' as the smallest women's tourbillon on the market, alongside the 'Divas' Dream Finissima Minute Repeater,' the thinnest women's chiming watch available, in Dubai in January. At Bulgari, complications and records know no gender," he added.
