Two new models from "CITIZEN ATTESA," designed to support globally active business professionals with cutting-edge technology, and the private lunar exploration program "HAKUTO-R," will be released on Thursday, July 8, 2021.

CITIZEN ATTESA, the flagship of CITIZEN's titanium technology, introduces two collaboration models with the private lunar exploration program "HAKUTO-R": the CC4016-75E and AT8185-71E. "HAKUTO-R" plans to conduct two missions—lunar landing and lunar exploration—by developing its own lander and rover. CITIZEN will provide Super Titanium™ for the lander's landing gear components for this program.

The CC4016-75E, expressing the "moon's soft light," uses an elegant gold-colored Duratect MRK Gold on parts of the case and band. The lustrous black of Duratect DLC applied to parts of the bezel and band creates a beautiful contrast, expressing the moon's shadows. The sub-dial at the 6 o'clock position, made of mother-of-pearl that subtly changes with light, represents the "shifting shadows." The case back features a design image of the "HAKUTO-R" lander touching down on the lunar surface, a unique touch for a collaboration model.

Inside the 44.3mm diameter case lies the F950, the top-tier movement for Eco-Drive GPS satellite-controlled watches. It receives signals in as little as 3 seconds for time information only, and displays the corrected time by moving the main time's hour and minute hands at twice the usual speed. Furthermore, it is a full-spec model equipped with充実した functions as a top-tier movement, including dual time display and chronograph. It allows for simultaneous display and one-step switching of home and local times, and features a 1/20-second chronograph.

The AT8185-71E, expressing the "moon's darkness," uses Super Titanium™ material treated with Duratect DLC, a scratch-resistant surface hardening technology, for its lustrous black case and bracelet. It features a three-dimensional, deep dial representing the lunar surface, with a sub-dial at the 6 o'clock position—mother-of-pearl backed in black—and glitter applied to the outer circumference to depict stars shining in space. Gold-colored hands and accent colors on the bezel and crown express light piercing the darkness. This model, featuring the "HAKUTO-R" logo engraved on the case back, is an Eco-Drive radio-controlled watch with world time functionality.
