Design Prioritizing Legibility & Movement Inheriting the Spirit of the First Speedtimer
The stopwatch developed for the 1972 international winter sports competition pursued "high legibility" required for timing measurements even in blizzards, employing a matte black dial to ensure numbers, markers, and hands were easily visible against the snow. This all-black stopwatch, with its vividly colored red and white markings, stands as a milestone in SEIKO's sports timing history.
