A portion of proceeds supports conservation efforts for endangered rhinos. Released in a limited edition of 100 pieces worldwide.
HUBLOT has partnered with SORAI (Save Our Rhinos Africa and India), an organization dedicated to protecting critically endangered rhinos. Through this collaboration, the new "Big Bang Unico SORAI" has been created in a limited edition of 100 pieces worldwide. A significant portion of the proceeds will be donated to Care for Wild, which cares for and protects orphaned rhino calves, and to the South African National Parks Board for their activities, including enhancing nocturnal surveillance with thermal intelligence tools mounted on aircraft.

A New Watch Supporting Biodiversity Initiatives
HUBLOT is releasing the new "Big Bang Unico SORAI" in a limited edition of 100 pieces, a collaboration with SORAI, an organization dedicated to the rescue and protection of endangered species. This timepiece features the Unico manufacture movement and boasts a green ceramic case inspired by the natural colors of summer foliage, paired with either a green camouflage rubber strap or a Velcro strap, creating a sophisticated harmony of two green tones. The case back features a special edition engraving, and the watch is available in a worldwide limited edition of 100 pieces.
Thanks to SORAI's sustained efforts in protecting rhinos from poaching, Africa's greatest threat, rhino poaching incidents have steadily and surely decreased up to 2020. For over the past decade, two-thirds of the rhinos living in South Africa's Kruger National Park fell victim to poaching, and the current population of black rhinos is estimated to be fewer than 500.
However, in late March 2020, South Africa's borders were closed to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Previously, poachers tended to stay near the coast due to the daily influx of foreign tourists. Now, however, a severe shortage of rangers means poachers are active across vast areas. With the country's revenue streams cut off, it has become clear that support through donations from wildlife conservation groups and private individuals, as well as cooperation and collaboration with domestic and international stakeholders, is urgently needed.
Leveraging its global reach, HUBLOT has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting SORAI by announcing the new "Big Bang Unico SORAI." A portion of the proceeds from this watch will be donated to Care for Wild, the largest rhino sanctuary supported by SORAI, to aid in the protection and rescue of endangered species.
Kevin Pietersen, founder of SORAI, stated, "Every day in conservation is a fight against time. Our expert teams rescue, rehabilitate, and release rhinos back into the wild. We don't want to lose these species – one of the 'Big Five' (buffalo, elephant, lion, leopard, and rhino) – for ourselves or for our children and grandchildren. We need a collective effort to protect them! I am thrilled that HUBLOT is once again supporting SORAI to raise awareness of this global emergency."
