A limited edition model with an Arita porcelain dial, achieving the soft, pale hue of "Usurizome," will be available from Friday, January 14, 2022. This timepiece from the Presage Prestige Line embodies Japanese aesthetics. A total of 2,000 units will be released worldwide, with 400 designated for the Japanese market.

SEIKO PRESAGE, a brand of made-in-Japan mechanical watches that embodies unique designs and technologies rooted in Japanese aesthetics, is releasing a limited edition model featuring an Arita porcelain dial.

Born in 1616 as Japan's first porcelain, Arita ware has captivated many with its craftsmanship and unique artistry, passed down for approximately 400 years. The hallmark of this model is its dial, which reproduces the "Usurizome" hue, a color that has been preserved to this day within Arita ware's long history.

The pale indigo color and lustrous transparency accentuate the unique form of the porcelain, highlighting a rich beauty that can only be found in Arita ware.

SEIKO's proprietary Arita porcelain dial, which expresses the allure of lustrous porcelain, was developed through extensive research to achieve the three-dimensional effect of its multi-curved form while ensuring durability as a wristwatch. The manufacturing of this Arita porcelain dial, a fusion of Japanese tradition and SEIKO's technology, is a challenging process. It involves using porcelain with more than four times the conventional strength as the material, casting it using ultra-high precision molds, firing it at 1300°C, and then applying glaze and undergoing multiple firings.

This model features the inscription "Limited Edition" and a serial number on the case back, and is offered in a limited quantity of 2,000 units worldwide.
