Girard-Perregaux has released three new models featuring black onyx dials: the Vintage 1945 Infinity Edition and the 1966 Infinity Edition. The Vintage 1945 Infinity Edition is limited to 88 pieces, while the 1966 Infinity Edition comes in two case sizes, 40mm and 30mm, each limited to 188 pieces. Following an exclusive sale on MR PORTER (for the 40mm 1966 Infinity Edition only), they will be available at authorized Girard-Perregaux retailers worldwide.

The Vintage 1945 Infinity Edition and the 1966 Infinity Edition are dress watches with pure black onyx dials, evoking the elegance of a black-tie gala. They showcase Girard-Perregaux's mastery in embodying noble design, refined beauty, and legendary expertise.

While the Vintage 1945 Infinity features a rectangular case measuring 36.1 x 35.25mm, the 1966 Infinity is offered in two case sizes: 30mm (for women) and 40mm (for men). Both models, based on the design of their respective eras, utilize onyx for the dial as a new expressive medium. Clémence Dubois, Head of Product Marketing at Girard-Perregaux, explained, "Shaping black onyx into dials for rectangular and round cases is an incredibly delicate process that requires immense skill. It takes months of meticulous work, involving 15 distinct steps within our manufacture, to imbue each model with its special value."

The Vintage 1945 Infinity Edition carries forward the style of the original model, which captured the allure of Art Deco when it was released in 1945. Its stylish rectangular case is curved to follow the wrist, ensuring exceptional comfort. Dauphine hands for hours and minutes smoothly trace the pink gold hour markers, indicating the time with clarity. The crown and strap are seamlessly integrated into the case, and elegant gadroon decorations adorn the top and bottom of the dial. The in-house movement features the patented 'Large Date' display, utilizing two independent discs spaced 0.1mm apart. Comprising 282 components, the movement presents the date in a highly legible manner.

The 1966 Infinity Edition boasts an exceptionally simple design, with a slender case, a round dial, leaf-shaped hands, and pink gold hour markers, presenting a classic aesthetic from every angle. A leather strap, befitting this refined style, is seamlessly integrated with the case. Furthermore, the exhibition case back reveals the automatic movement with its pink gold rotor, while the pink gold brand logo at 12 o'clock enhances the perfection of this artistic combination.

The Vintage 1945 Infinity Edition is limited to 88 pieces, and the 1966 Infinity Edition is limited to 188 pieces each for the 30mm and 40mm models. All three models will be available at authorized Girard-Perregaux retailers worldwide. The 40mm model of the 1966 Infinity Edition will be exclusively pre-released on MR PORTER.
