Motifs That Tell the Maison's Story
In 2025, Gucci unveiled seven new timepieces across three lines—G-Timeless, Gucci 25H, and Gucci Interlocking—as its fifth-generation high watchmaking collection. These models embody exceptional craftsmanship and precision, incorporating bold technology, intricate mechanisms, and motifs that echo Gucci's heritage.
The G-Timeless collection welcomes five new creations born from exceptional métiers d'art. Inspired by archival silk scarves, these watches feature dials that serve as miniature canvases, breathing life into the history of craftsmanship and watchmaking passed down through generations with their unique beauty and brilliance.
All 40mm models are equipped with a tourbillon movement set with diamonds, and the case back is hand-engraved.
The first model transforms Vittorio Accornero di Test, the Italian artist and illustrator who created Gucci's iconic Flora print for scarves, into a symphony of flowers rendered in white gold, diamonds, and white Grand Feu enamel.
Delicate carvings of botanical motifs, meticulously hand-painted flowers, hand-engraving, and inlays of natural materials and gemstones such as violet jade, mother-of-pearl, and verdite adorn the piece. A black alligator strap further enhances its elegant design.
The second white gold model draws inspiration from "Velieri," a nautical-themed scarf design by Accornero. Expressing the poetry of the sea, this watch features a dial of sculpted and airbrushed mother-of-pearl, scattered with various hand-painted and hand-engraved marine motifs, all accented with diamonds.
The two sailing ships utilize high-definition marquetry techniques; the larger ship is composed of 28 wood pieces, and the smaller one of 12, with gold cannons adding a three-dimensional accent to both. Furthermore, stars, the moon, and the GUCCI logo rendered in luminescent paint add a fantastical atmosphere, complemented by a black alligator strap.
The third white gold model is an homage to the underwater scene depicted in "Perla," one of Gucci's Animaux scarf designs. The white gold dial, framed by diamonds, features a lustrous background of white Grand Feu enamel.
Marine creatures are meticulously laser-engraved and then hand-painted, with chrysoprase, jade, and Murano glass spheres adding a beautiful radiance. This model is paired with a white alligator strap.
Additionally, a rose gold model inspired by Accornero's 1969 Safari print has been introduced. The dial, finished with laser-engraved mother-of-pearl, features a vivid depiction of savanna landscapes and wildlife, meticulously hand-painted by a master miniaturist. This design is paired with a green alligator strap.
The G-Timeless collection concludes with a model dynamically portraying equestrian competition scenes, a significant motif for Gucci and a frequent theme on its silk scarves.
The dial, crafted using intricate marquetry with 40 pieces of Italian olive wood, features rose gold horses and riders rendered through hand-engraving and hand-painting. Graduated tsavorites set on the surface and a black alligator strap further accentuate the dynamism and power emanating from this rose gold watch.
The Gucci 25H collection, launched in 2021, was the first line to feature Gucci's proprietary caliber. It has consistently showcased Gucci's craftsmanship, introducing a skeleton flying tourbillon in 2022, a perpetual calendar in 2023, and a minute repeater in 2024.
This year, Gucci elevates its high watchmaking with a 40mm skeleton tourbillon model inspired by the Colosseum in ancient Rome.
The new Gucci 25H Amphitheater retains the collection's signature ultra-thin case, measuring just 8.4mm thick, while the inner ring of the rose gold case is set with baguette-cut diamonds in a multi-layered, three-dimensional arrangement, creating a dial with depth and dynamism.
A flying tourbillon cage is positioned at 6 o'clock, and the brown alligator strap is finished with a buckle sparkling with diamonds. The new Gucci 25H continues to evolve while retaining its unique, enduring character.
New additions have also been made to the Gucci Interlocking collection, launched in 2024.
This 41mm rose gold model features diamonds of varying sizes meticulously set in a mosaic pattern. Like previous models, the new creation utilizes a 10.7mm thick cushion-shaped case.
The movement incorporates two complications: a flying tourbillon adorned with the Interlocking G, and a jumping hour.
The case, lavishly set with diamonds of different diameters, sparkles as it catches the surrounding light. Beneath the innovative multi-layered smoked sapphire crystal dial, a hand-lacquered hour disc is positioned, with only specific hours visible through the glass aperture.
Behind the iridescent aventurine glass, a minute disc moves with light fluidity, synchronized with the rear rotor. A black alligator strap completes the refined design.
Drawing inspiration from the archives while looking towards the future, these new creations are true art pieces, embodying the Maison's rich heritage in combination with Swiss high watchmaking expertise.
