Panerai introduces the Submersible Chrono Marina Militare Experience Edition PAM01699, a special timepiece symbolizing its long-standing, deep connection with the Italian Navy. This model, inspired by the Italian Navy's air division, "Aviazione Navale," is a limited edition of just 35 pieces.

Panerai's relationship with the Italian Navy dates back to the 1910s. At that time, Panerai was entrusted with manufacturing precision instruments to meet the demands of harsh military missions. The company focused on developing luminous paints and robust diver's watches, earning the Navy's trust. Since then, Panerai has been at the forefront of innovation in the military sector, not only in timepieces but also in developing landing systems for aircraft carriers and onboard equipment.

The newly announced PAM01699 is the latest addition to Panerai's "Experience Edition" series, launched in 2019. This initiative goes beyond mere watch ownership, offering a unique experiential program that allows purchasers to immerse themselves in the brand's ethos.

Owners of the "PAM01699" will receive a three-day training experience at the Grottaglie Naval Air Base in Puglia, Italy. By learning the strict discipline of the naval air corps and participating in tactical training and helicopter missions, they can savor an adventure rooted in military tradition.

The watch is powered by the automatic caliber P.9100/R, featuring five patented technologies. The chronograph with a flyback function achieves high precision and durability through its vertical clutch and column wheel. It also includes a countdown function, essential for missions. The flyback operation is designed for single-button reset and restart, making it ideal for military operations requiring rapid measurement of multiple timings.

The case is 47mm in diameter, crafted from brushed Grade 5 titanium. Approximately 40% lighter and 60% harder than steel, this material offers excellent corrosion resistance and high durability in extreme environments. The unidirectional rotating bezel features a matte black ceramic disc, lending a rugged aesthetic reminiscent of aviation instruments. With a water resistance of 50 bar (approximately 500 meters), it is suitable for professional diving.

The design features a matte dial with a gradient finish from black to green, displaying "MARINA MILITARE" at the 6 o'clock position, reflecting a color scheme inspired by military flight gear. The grey Super-LumiNova® ensures excellent legibility in low-light conditions.

Two straps are included: a green cotton canvas strap evoking military uniforms, and a black rubber strap for diving. The case back is engraved with the "Aviazione Navale" emblem, highlighting the special nature of this model.
