Enjoying watches as fashion, just like everyone else.
CITIZEN will launch a "visually impaired-friendly wristwatch" incorporating the concept of inclusive design on Thursday, March 19, 2020.

Casual design for everyday wear
The plain design of the top cover and the dial, which is touched directly by the fingers, features a matte finish to minimize the visibility of fingerprints and protrusions. Combined with casual fonts, this creates a design suitable for everyday wear.
The band uses a free-adjust structure that allows for self-adjustment, and rivets are placed on the clasp to prevent the band from accidentally coming undone.
CITIZEN plans to donate 100 "visually impaired-friendly wristwatches" to Lopburi School for the Multiple Disabled, which was involved from the planning stages.

And in 2020, a visually impaired-friendly watch was announced, designed with an inclusive approach involving users such as the visually impaired and those with low vision, not just the sighted, from the planning and development stages, so that everyone can use it comfortably.
Opinions from students and staff at Lopburi School for the Multiple Disabled in Thailand, and other visually impaired individuals, such as "I want to enjoy watches as fashion, just like sighted people" and "I want a watch that doesn't immediately identify me as visually impaired," were incorporated.
To make the hour and minute hands easier to distinguish, their lengths have been clearly differentiated, and their shapes are also distinct. Additionally, the black dial is paired with yellow indices to enhance readability for those with low vision.
