The "Laureato Absolute Rock," presented as a concept watch last year, is finally being released in a limited edition of 100 pieces worldwide. This is a robust yet lightweight sports watch featuring a case made from "Carbon Glass," a new material developed and patented by Girard-Perregaux.

Utilizing a unique material combining blue fibers and black carbon

The "Laureato Absolute Rock," a new addition to the Laureato collection that embodies the essence of sports elegance. This model reflects the Laureato spirit of pursuing a more refined and contemporary design, with its striking and bold blue and black hues.

The key material for this piece is Carbon Glass, a new proprietary material from Girard-Perregaux first unveiled at SIHH 2019. This new material, patented by Girard-Perregaux, is not only strong and lightweight but also boasts high water resistance. Its manufacturing process differs from any other carbon, being produced by injecting and compressing the material at high temperatures and ultra-high density during the injection molding stage. The result is a material with a smooth, uniform finish on all surfaces and a unique, beautiful texture. Furthermore, Carbon Glass offers extreme durability, 100 times that of steel. In terms of lightness, it has a value close to 1, compared to approximately 8 for steel and 4.5 for titanium.

The octagonal bezel, characteristic of the Laureato collection, the redesigned chronograph pushers, and the bold 44mm case enhance its sporty appeal. The rubber strap with blue stitching looks set to impress not only in active settings but in any situation.
