SEIKO will release two new models, the "SDKA005" and "SDKA007" from King Seiko, on July 8, 2023. These models inherit the refined design of the second-generation King Seiko "KSK," born in 1965, and are the first regular models to be equipped with the slim automatic movement "Caliber 6L35."

The second-generation King Seiko, also known as the "KSK," was born in 1965 and is a representative model of King Seiko. It is characterized by its uncluttered dial layout, sharp case styling with emphasized edges, and box-shaped crystal.

This work evolves the second-generation King Seiko "KSK" into a modern style, using it as the base model.

The adoption of thick, long, three-faceted hour and minute hands enhances visibility and luxury. The multi-faceted case is further updated from the second generation by combining mirror and hairline finishes.

Two dial colors are available: silver and black. The silver model features a delicate radial pattern on the dial, expressing the smooth texture of the original "KSK" model. The black model features a new color developed to complement the sharp case design with its emphasized edges.

While the movement in the original model was manual-winding, the new model announced this time is equipped with the Caliber 6L35, the thinnest automatic movement in SEIKO's current lineup. Although the power reserve is approximately 45 hours, improvements to the case structure and crystal have achieved a 0.2mm reduction in thickness compared to the second-generation King Seiko "KSK."

In line with previous regular models, a flat, multi-row bracelet is used for a comfortable fit. It's also a welcome feature that it can be freely combined with the 10 types of King Seiko exclusive leather straps currently available.
