"SEIKO Astron": A Convenient Companion for Business Travelers
On December 6, 2014, the second "SEIKO presents WAKO GENTLEMEN’S CLUB" event took place at the Wako main building in Ginza, Tokyo. This exclusive event, limited to 30 pairs selected by application, was its second iteration. Columnist Mr. Takanori Nakamura served as moderator, engaging in a lively discussion about flights with a current JAL pilot and cabin attendants as guests.
The discussion began with JAL's achievement of being ranked the world's number one in on-time arrival rates for two consecutive years, 2012 and 2013. The pilot and cabin attendants shared anecdotes about the challenges of operating flights with precise timing, emphasizing the importance of punctuality.
Topics ranged from "jet lag countermeasures" and "how to spend time comfortably on board" to "in-flight fashion styles," with professional advice shared among the attendees.
Columnist Mr. Nakamura also spoke about his frequent overseas business trips, which involve nine flights in just nine days due to his work. He then highlighted the appeal of the "SEIKO Astron," the world's first GPS solar watch, which he finds particularly noteworthy given his extensive travel.
"The SEIKO Astron adjusts to the correct local time with the press of a button, making it a truly invaluable tool for busy business travelers and tourists on the move. Furthermore, its design is versatile, complementing both business and casual attire, which is a significant advantage when packing light for overseas trips," commented Mr. Nakamura.
The event concluded with a luxurious prize draw, lasting approximately two hours. Sparkling wine was served, and participants seemed to enjoy their pre-holiday evening in Ginza.
