The "Diagono Phases de Lune" was unveiled in 2008, the year marking the 20th anniversary of Diagono's birth. Bulgari, which had been pursuing vertical integration to become a manufacture, launched several of its masterpieces that year with a major overhaul of the Diagono line. The "Diagono Phases de Lune" was one of them. It features a distinctive retrograde moon phase display, with a pointer also employing a retrograde system for the month indication in addition to the date. The movement is the in-house Cal.BVL347, comprising 347 parts. This is a landmark piece that conveys Bulgari's journey as a manufacture.
