Featuring Cartier's First Fully In-House Automatic Movement!
By Yasuhito Shibuya
This new collection offers a powerful departure from the traditional image of Cartier men's watches, incorporating classic elements like the small seconds subdial and railway-style indexes, while exuding a strong presence through its bezel and crown guards, skillfully employing both polished and satin finishes.
In addition to the pink gold case model shown, there are five variations in total, including a stainless steel case with a pink gold bezel combination model, a stainless steel case model, and different dial colors. The Calibre 1904 MC movement powering these watches was developed with a focus on precision, durability, and ease of use, incorporating the latest technologies such as a ceramic ball-bearing system and a bidirectional winding system with a ratchet mechanism. It is undoubtedly set to become Cartier's representative "base engine" for the future.
Automatic winding, pink gold case with alligator strap, 42mm diameter, transparent case back, water-resistant for daily life, ¥2,268,000 (estimated retail price), scheduled for release in April.
