Seiko "Brights Ananta" Debuts in Japan
Debuting this March at Baselworld in Switzerland, the new Seiko watch series, "Brights Ananta," has arrived. "Ananta" is a Sanskrit word meaning "infinite." This collection, embodying the pinnacle of the company's technology, is drawing global attention not only from Japan but from around the world as a "challenge" imbued with limitless potential.
This September 19th marks the long-awaited launch in Japan. Customers can choose between Seiko's proprietary Spring Drive movement or an automatic mechanical model. With GMT andchronographmodels, the lineup offers a truly diverse range of 10 models in total.
A watch culture originating in Japan, taking flight worldwide
The design motif for the Seiko "Brights Ananta" is the "Japanese sword." From the case, dial, oscillating weight, to the crown, the design of the Japanese sword is meticulously incorporated. The sharp polishing applied to the curved surfaces of the case structure, connecting from the case back to the lugs, is exceptionally beautiful, offering a watch where one can fully appreciate Seiko's unique craftsmanship, including Zaratsu polishing.
On September 17th, a party was held at the Tokyo National Museum to celebrate the launch in Japan and worldwide. The event featured a demonstration of "Sakuratsuki Ryu Biken-do" and highlighted Seiko's commitment to unique Japanese culture, impressing attendees with its sophisticated presentation and conveying Seiko's strong ambition for global expansion.
The global rollout is planned for a total of 48 countries. Launches have already begun in several European countries, including London, UK, and have been met with high praise from the media and other outlets.
This is Seiko's new challenge to the world. We invite you to experience its ambition firsthand, starting with this release in Japan.
