High Jewelry: The Ultimate Homage to Elegance
At Baselworld 2009,Breguetunveiled two collections celebrating feminine elegance.High JewelryThese new creations are inspired by the delicate, understated charm of the Petit Trianon, the favorite retreat of Queen Marie Antoinette of France.
The Petit Trianon Palace was restored with the financial support of Breguet and is now open to the public, where it enjoys great popularity. Its atmosphere of serene tranquility, created by women for women and a stark contrast to the opulence of the Palace of Versailles, captivates its many visitors.
Queen Marie Antoinette, who favored simplicity and refinement, adored the nature, gardens, soft, pale colors, and the cool summer ambiance that adorned the Petit Trianon.
The jewelry collection, created by Breguet designers drawing inspiration from the graceful allure of this sanctuary, is truly delicate and exquisite, evoking the landscapes the Queen cherished.

“Le Petit Trianon”: Exquisitely Expressing the Queen’s Noble Charm
The “Le Petit Trianon” collection comprises a necklace, bracelet, ring, earrings, and a wristwatch. The breathtaking emerald-cut diamond at the center of the necklace is said to embody the refined radiance of the Petit Trianon, the haven where Marie Antoinette escaped the strict conventions of the French court.
The flowing elegance of the wristwatch harmonizes beautifully with the jewelry. The striking emerald-cut diamond shines even brighter when paired with a black satin strap. The diamond-set case houses an automatic movement.
“The Queen’s Rose”: A Modern Design Expressing the Queen’s World
The latest Breguet jewelry collection expresses Marie Antoinette’s world in every detail. The Queen had a deep affection for roses and pearls, which were consistently depicted in her portraits.
The new “The Queen’s Rose” series features Akoya pearls, whose iridescent hues and luster radiate a vivid brilliance when worn, and cameos carved with shell in relief, revealing hidden brown and ochre tones on the surface.
The Ring Collection “Queen of Naples”: A Glimpse of Minimalism Art
Furthermore, the successful “Queen of Naples” ring collection offers a deeper glimpse into the philosophy of minimalism art.
The “Queen of Naples” rings feature a simple, modern design where two egg-shaped gold rings support a beautifully emerald-cut gemstone. As with previous collections, a rich variety of gemstones are available, including the green of peridot, the pink of morganite, amethyst, aquamarine, rhodolite garnet, and sparkling diamonds.
