The New Connected Watch, Big Bang e: A Fusion of Sophistication and Cutting-Edge Technology | HUBLOT

HUBLOT

The Pinnacle of Luxury Smartwatches, Condensing Cutting-Edge Materials and Digital Technology

In 2018, to commemorate the FIFA World Cup held in Russia, Hublot unveiled its first connected watch, the Big Bang Referee 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™. Developed for wearable devices and equipped with the latest technology, this model was worn by referees on the pitch during matches and also became a favorite among football fans as a virtual stadium for instantly checking match status. Then, in 2020, Hublot released the new Big Bang e. This timepiece inherits the iconic Big Bang DNA code while incorporating the latest technology as a connected watch.

Available in Titanium and Ceramic

This timepiece embodies Hublot's brand concept of "The Art of Fusion," seamlessly blending tradition with innovation, cutting-edge materials, and the latest digital technology.
Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot, stated, "In the 1970s, quartz watches were manufactured in Switzerland. Fifty years have passed, but our stance of pursuing innovation remains unchanged. We are producing a second generation of smartwatches that boast the precision of highly advanced technology. Furthermore, in watchmaking, we never forget to embody aesthetic value, technical characteristics, and excellence. This attitude has solidified the reputation of the Big Bang collection today. With the Big Bang e, we aimed to be even more faithful to our brand concept, 'The Art of Fusion,' by integrating highly advanced materials with the latest innovations in today's digital world."
This timepiece, filled with sophistication and cutting-edge technology, perfectly upholds Hublot's watchmaking tradition. Its design codes, instantly recognizable to both fervent Hublot fans and newcomers alike, are evident throughout. The case is crafted from advanced materials like black ceramic or titanium, featuring the innovative multi-layered structure conceived by Hublot in 2005. Comprising 42 components, the "cage" housing the watch's digital heart alone consists of 27 parts. It retains the Big Bang's DNA with specifications such as the design of the screws and push-pieces, high scratch-resistance sapphire crystal, rubber strap, and the folding buckle invented by Hublot in 1980, along with the patented one-click system for easy strap changes.
The highly scratch-resistant sapphire crystal serves as the AMOLED high-resolution touchscreen. The crown, like that of the mechanical Big Bang, is a rotary design with integrated push-buttons, used to activate controls for the electronic module.
Differentiating from the traditional Big Bang, Hublot's designers have conceived new functions that elevate traditional techniques and skills into the digital realm. Beyond the analog "Time Only" function, the Big Bang e uniquely reinterprets traditional complications with features like a perpetual calendar with an accurate moon phase and a second time zone display (GMT) designed as a globe.
Equipped with Wear OS by Google™, the Big Bang e offers a customized smartwatch experience tailored to individual needs. Users can access Google Play, get information via Google Assistant, and make quick, easy payments with Google Pay. For a more personal experience, useful information is accessible with a simple swipe, keeping users constantly updated with the latest notifications and messages.
The dial, inspired by the imagination of storytelling artist Marc Ferrero, changes color every three hours. Over a 24-hour period, eight creations based on the colors Happy Yellow, Magic Blue, Orange Dynamite, All White, Lucky Green, Magic Red, Rainbow Spirit, and Black Magic are displayed sequentially. Additionally, a five-second video appears every hour. Hublot also plans to sequentially release dials specially created by its talented brand ambassadors and friends.
This new model is available in two versions: a titanium case and a black ceramic case named Black Magic. For the first time in Hublot's history, online purchases will be available not only through the brand's website but also via WeChat in China. Subsequently, it will be progressively rolled out to Hublot boutiques and authorized retailers.
