A Horse Rendered in Studs on a Leather Dial
The 'Arceau', originally designed by Henri d'Origny in 1978, is a timepiece that stylishly embodies Hermès's originality. Its defining features are the round case with asymmetrical lugs inspired by stirrups, and a timeless, playful design combining this with italicized indices that evoke a galloping horse.
In this new collection, the 'Arceau' Horse features a motif of a galloping horse created by meticulously applying 395 mini-studs one by one onto a leather dial. This studwork, a testament to Hermès's mastery of saddlery and leather craftsmanship, is set against a dial in black or white leather.
Bringing the spirited horse motif to life are a stainless steel case set with 100 diamonds and a leather strap in a color matching the dial, ensuring a secure fit on the wrist. Both elements are crafted in the Hermès Horloger ateliers.
With the artisan's meticulous attention to detail, the 'Arceau' Horse, where studs and diamonds sparkle, is a truly original masterpiece.
