BAUME is a new watch brand that challenges watchmaking using recycled and upcyclable materials, prioritizing environmental consideration. This BAUME, in collaboration with French ski brand ZAG, has released the "BAUME ✕ ZAG Limited Edition II" timepiece, upcycling wood and carbon material offcuts from the ski production process. It is a limited edition of 100 pieces.

BAUME, a watch brand within the Richemont Group, has released a limited collaboration timepiece with the popular French ski brand ZAG. With the concept of "Better Tomorrow," BAUME is a brand that introduces new approaches to watchmaking using materials that show maximum consideration for the environment. Primarily an e-commerce business, it offers over 3,200 semi-customization options at fair prices by producing each watch to order, thus avoiding excess inventory.

The "BAUME ✕ ZAG Limited Edition II," the second collaboration between BAUME and ZAG, upcycles wood and carbon board offcuts generated during ski production into a 42mm case. The case is further enhanced with anodized blue aluminum, protecting the movement from shocks and ensuring water resistance.

The natural wood used in the materials undergoes pressure treatment with water-based resin to increase strength while ensuring airtightness. All of this is finished by skilled Swiss artisans. The strap features an easily interchangeable button design, and two versions are included: one in white recycled plastic and another in blue made from natural cotton.

This piece is a new masterpiece embodying BAUME's concept, where "reusable materials" like ski board offcuts and the "circular economy" of recycling plastic for watch straps are integrated into a sophisticated design. To commemorate the launch of this limited edition timepiece, 2% of sales will be donated to "Protect Our Winters (POW)," a non-profit organization addressing climate change issues.
