Reinterpreting the Luxurious Design Codes of Cartier's Iconic Tank

The Cartier "Tank Must," which generated significant buzz at Watches & Wonders 2021, is now available. Six new models featuring stainless steel cases with long-life quartz or automatic movements, paired with leather straps or stainless steel bracelets, launched in June 2021.

Inheriting the Authentic Style of the "Tank Louis Cartier"

Cartier's "Tank" is an elegant watch collection characterized by its parallel vertical brancards and pure silhouette. From this collection, six new "Tank Must" models were released in 2021.

The "Tank Must" represents the evolution of the "Tank" watch, a symbol of timeless presence, over a century after its creation. The "Tank" is an essential, dandy watch, while the "Must" collection, born in the 1970s, reinterprets its luxurious design codes in more accessible models.

This creation inherits the authentic style of the timeless and undeniably present "Tank Louis Cartier." Six models are available, combining stainless steel cases with either leather straps or stainless steel bracelets. Each is equipped with a latest-generation high-efficiency quartz movement (approx. 8-year battery life) or an in-house automatic 1847 MC movement, and features a refined blue synthetic spinel cabochon crown. The leather strap models revive the traditional ardillon buckle, guiding the collection back to the Maison's heritage in every detail.

The stainless steel bracelet has been entirely redesigned, down to the links, with every element reflecting the Maison's sophistication. In addition to these six models, the "Tank Must" will expand its lineup in September 2021 with monochrome versions in red, blue, and green, as well as models featuring a solar movement and vegan straps made from non-animal materials.
