The Pinnacle of SEIKO Presage: Prestige Models Launched

From SEIKO Presage, the Japanese dress mechanical watch that fuses modern design with the charm of mechanical movements, comes a new Prestige model featuring a "cloisonné dial" that will not fade for 100 years. Available in two types, a multi-hand model and a three-hand model, they will be released in late January.

The Prestige model, arguably the pinnacle of Presage, adopts a cloisonné dial, also used in the "Laurel," Japan's first wristwatch born in 1913. Cloisonné is made by applying a glaze made from highly pure clay, pure water, and glass to a steel base dial and firing it at high temperatures. Its characteristic is that it does not fade for 100 years, but it is a material that requires immense effort and is rarely used due to its high manufacturing difficulty.

The dials used in this model are handcrafted one by one by Mitsuru Yokozawa, the foremost master of cloisonné dials and the only one in Japan. Only skilled artisans can achieve even firing without color unevenness, considering the temperature and humidity of the day. And it is said that only Mr. Yokozawa in Japan can achieve micron-level ultra-high precision technology.

Two types of items are available: a practical multi-hand model equipped with a power reserve display function, unique to mechanical watches, and a simple three-hand model that allows you to fully appreciate the beauty of the cloisonné dial. Both feature an elegant case with reduced ornamentation, paired with gracefully curved hands, resulting in a finish brimming with timeless, universal appeal.

The strap is a deep navy crocodile band, creating a more luxurious impression on the wrist. The see-through case back, allowing you to enjoy the dynamic movement of the oscillating weight and the precise operation of the balance wheel, is also not to be missed.
