Inheriting the design code of historical models. Appreciating the symmetrical composition in every detail.

EDITOR’S EYE
Breguet's ideals merge with cutting-edge modern technology. A masterpiece embodying tradition and innovation.
The aesthetic sensibility of placing the mainspring at the center and arranging gears symmetrically on either side is superb.
The guilloché (engraving using machine tools) on the small dial adds a signature Breguet touch.

Inspired by the design code of historical models conceived by Breguet founder Abraham-Louis Breguet in the late 18th century, the new "Tradition Retrograde Date 7597" has been released. It is available in two models, using 18K white gold and 18K rose gold for the case material.

Original Design and Symmetrical Composition

Breguet has announced the new "Tradition Retrograde Date 7597." The "Tradition" collection is inspired by the movement of a watch called "Souscription," conceived by Breguet in the late 18th century. This new model allows a view of the perfectly symmetrical movement structure from the front, and in addition to displaying the time, it also features a retrograde date display.

The retrograde date display is one of the complications first developed by Breguet founder Abraham-Louis Breguet and has been featured in several of Breguet's famous timepieces. To maintain symmetrical balance, it is positioned between 3 and 9 o'clock, with a gracefully curved hand moving across the highly architectural movement.

This three-dimensional date display, along with a patented date correction mechanism and a screw-down date adjustment button at 10 o'clock, allows for secure date setting.
The automatic Caliber 505Q movement, fitting perfectly within the 40mm case, is equipped with an inverted inline lever escapement with silicon horns and a Breguet balance spring made of silicon. The gold rotor, visible through the transparent case back, evokes the "Perpetuelle" mechanism, a testament to Abraham-Louis Breguet's ingenious inventiveness.
The historical model "Tact Watch" No. 2292, conceived by Abraham-Louis Breguet and sold in 1809 (not for sale).
Abraham-Louis Breguet, a perfectionist in both watchmaking technology and aesthetic design, engineered movements that remain remarkably modern even today. His design, featuring a large barrel at the center with gears arranged symmetrically above it, became the origin of the "Tradition" collection centuries later. Furthermore, as a characteristic signature of the "Tradition" collection, it also incorporates the "parachute," invented by Abraham-Louis Breguet, which is the origin of the shock-absorption mechanism used in all watches today.
Furthermore, another distinctive feature is the off-center dial for displaying the time. This design, with the gold dial offset at the 12 o'clock position, is inspired by Breguet's "Montre à Tact." The new "Tradition 7597" features a chapter ring with Roman numerals, combined with a Clous de Paris guilloché pattern and blued steel Breguet hands.
This new model is available in two versions, with cases made of 18K white gold and 18K rose gold.
