SEIKO│Shizukuishi Watch Studio Tour Present Campaign Launched

SEIKO is launching a campaign from Monday, September 2nd to Friday, October 18th, offering a 1-night, 2-day tour of the Shizukuishi Watch Studio in Iwate Prefecture, the "hometown" of Grand Seiko mechanical models, for purchasers of Grand Seiko timepieces.

Studio Tour and Mechanical Movement Assembly Experience Included

Grand Seiko, born in 1960 as Japan's first luxury wristwatch. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the "Laurel," SEIKO's first domestically produced wristwatch.

To commemorate this milestone, a tour will be held on Wednesday, November 20th and Thursday, November 21st. This exclusive experience will allow participants to visit the Shizukuishi Watch Studio in Shizukuishi Town, Iwate Prefecture, where Grand Seiko mechanical models are crafted, accompanied by commentary from Masayuki Hirota, a renowned and passionate SEIKO enthusiast and watch journalist.

The campaign runs from Monday, September 2nd to Friday, October 18th, and is open to purchasers of Grand Seiko watches at approximately 130 Grand Seiko Master Shops nationwide. Ten participants will be selected for the tour. During the tour, Mr. Hirota will serve as guide, inviting users to the production site of Grand Seiko mechanical models.

Participants will gain a renewed appreciation for the allure of Grand Seiko mechanical models through a studio tour and a hands-on mechanical movement assembly experience. Furthermore, the tour includes an overnight stay at a hotel in Morioka City, offering opportunities to enjoy fine dining and hot springs.
