Materials Expressing the World of the Dakar Rally

The Dakar Rally is known as the world's most grueling endurance race. Founded in 1979 by Frenchman Thierry Sabine, the rally moved its venue from the African continent to the Americas in 2009. This year, 740 vehicles, including cars, trucks, and motorcycles, participated in the demanding race that traversed Peru, Argentina, and Chile.

As the Official Timekeeper, EDOX has once again unveiled a new model in its Rally Collection, inspired by the world of Dakar. The 45mm stainless steel case houses a high-precision chronograph, available in striking red and green accent colors.

The design features innovative chronograph "start" and "stop" buttons reminiscent of a rally car's engine functions, and the dial is crafted from carbon fiber, a material also used in actual rally cars. Furthermore, the comfortable strap incorporates a tire tread design, with the entire watch paying homage to the Dakar Rally.
