SEIKO | The SH Special Model Commemorating 100 Years of SEIKO Wristwatches
Expressing Shonan's "Shoreline"
The SH Special Model, Named After President Hattori
The SEIKO 100th Anniversary Watch "SH Special Model," named after the initials of SEIKO Watch Corporation President Shinji Hattori. Inspired by the "Shonan Sea" that Mr. Hattori cherishes, the concept captures the scenery of the shoreline. SEIKO's master craftsmen have gathered their skills to create the ultimate timepiece.

Master Craftsmen Express Luxurious Playfulness
The "SH (Shinji Hattori) Special Model," released to commemorate the 100th anniversary of SEIKO watches, is a special limited edition model that fully embodies President Shinji Hattori's refined taste and sophisticated playfulness.

Equipped with the ultra-thin mechanical movement, Caliber 6898. Also note the playful design engraved on the movement.
The beautiful mother-of-pearl dial is designed to represent the sky in the upper half and the sea in the lower half, with a combination of simple Roman numeral and bar indexes and a white strap. This ultra-thin dress watch, with a case thickness of 7.6mm, offers a refreshing and novel impression with its sporty yet elegant feel.
The ultra-thin manual-winding movement "Caliber 6898," measuring 1.98mm in thickness with the thinnest parts at only about 0.25mm, is visible through the transparent case back. It features engravings that reflect President Hattori's beloved Enoshima, seagulls, yachts, sharks, sunfish, and crabs, with the upper half representing the sky and the lower half the sea.
Notably, the fish wearing glasses is depicted as "Shinji-uo," a character representing President Hattori himself. Furthermore, the outer edge of the movement is meticulously covered with a rope pattern motif, reminiscent of a ship's rope. As befits a limited edition model, it is also engraved with "Celebrating 100 years of Seiko Watchmaking" and the serial number.

The "SH Special Model" is crafted using the masterful techniques of two of SEIKO's proud "Contemporary Craftsmen": assembly master Mamoru Sakurada (left) and engraving master Kiyoshi Terui (right).
Additionally, the underside of the strap features a print of keywords related to the Shonan sea, including a hidden "SHINJI★H" for President Hattori. Sales will be exclusively at "SEIKO Premium Watch Salons" (24 locations nationwide).
