A Timepiece Honoring Four Centuries of Watchmaking
EDOX traces its roots to 1685, when Protestant watchmakers, fearing persecution from Catholics, migrated from France to Les-Vauberts, a remote village near Switzerland's Jura Mountains, and began crafting timepieces. This collection distills that nearly four-century-long Swiss watchmaking tradition into a timeless, classical line from EDOX.
The lineup includes the "Les Vauberts Open Heart Automatic," distinguished by its large aperture revealing not only the balance wheel but also the gears controlling each hand's movement, and the "Les Vauberts Daydate Automatic," which displays the date and day of the week,Chronographand the "Les Vauberts Chronograph Automatic," among a total of 10 models.
The case back is engraved with the year 1685, marking the beginning of watchmaking in this region, as a tribute to the pioneers. Furthermore, all dial designs feature an elegant and simple finish, ensuring they remain appealing for years to come.
This collection, dedicated to four centuries of watchmaking history, features all components—movement, case, and dial—meticulously crafted and assembled by hand in Switzerland. With its solid foundation in a long history and a refined, understated design, this collection is poised to become a new face for EDOX.
