Three Collaboration Models Released

Seiko's sports watch brand, <Seiko Prospex>, has released three limited-edition collaboration models to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the globally popular animated series "Mobile Suit Gundam."

Special Editions Featuring Mobile Suit Details

Three limited-edition models have been released from <Seiko Prospex> to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the globally popular animated series "Mobile Suit Gundam." Inspired by the designs of the Gundam, Char's Zaku, and Mass Production Zaku from the first series, each model expresses the unique characteristics of its respective mobile suit through color schemes and design elements.

Seiko Prospex Mobile Suit Gundam 40th Anniversary

The "Gundam Limited Model" is based on the LX line, Seiko Prospex's high-end series, and recreates the sharp, futuristic design of the Gundam.

The watch features the iconic tricolor scheme of the original Gundam RX-78-2 throughout, with a distinctive marking on the 12 o'clock position of the rotating bezel, mimicking the head sensor. The case side is engraved with the model number "RX-78-2," and the case back and crown feature

the Earth Federation Forces' emblem, incorporating details of the ace mobile suit in various elements. A white crocodile leather strap is included, allowing for strap changes to suit different occasions, much like the RX-78-2 Gundam's ability to adapt its equipment. The special box is also printed with the Earth Federation Forces' symbol. This model is limited to 300 units worldwide and was released in August 2019.

The "Char's Zaku Limited Model" and "Mass Production Zaku Limited Model" are based on the iconic "Marine Master Professional" from Seiko Divers, a model trusted by professional divers worldwide.

The design faithfully captures the essence of these robust mobile suits, featuring a second hand patterned after the iconic monocular (sensor) of Zeon mobile suits, a dial ring reminiscent of power pipes, and a protector engraved with the mobile suit's model number.

The "Char's Zaku Limited Model" is in red, and the "Mass Production Zaku Limited Model" is in green, naturally reflecting the colors of their respective mobile suits. The reinforced silicone strap is adorned with both Char Aznable's personal mark, known as the "Red Comet," and the Principality of Zeon's emblem. Both models come in a special box printed with the Zeon military's symbol and were released on April 12th, limited to 1,000 units worldwide.
