EDOX served as the official timekeeper for the Dakar Rally, known as the "world's most grueling endurance race," held in South America this January. Founded in 1979 by Frenchman Thierry Sabine, the Dakar Rally moved its stage from the African continent to the Americas in 2009. This year, approximately 740 teams across all categories, including cars, trucks, and motorcycles, participated, challenging a course spanning Peru, Argentina, and Chile.
