To commemorate the 35th anniversary of the Giugiaro Design digital watch, first released in 1983, SEIKO is reissuing the model. It will be released sequentially as a limited edition from Friday, November 23rd.

Six Exclusive Models from Select Shops Also Showcase Superb Craftsmanship

The original model released in 1983.

"Giugiaro Design" was established in 1981 as the car and industrial division of Italdesign by Giorgetto Giugiaro, who has created numerous masterpieces as a car designer.

The model, a collaboration between SEIKO and Giugiaro Design that took the world by storm upon its release in 1983, also exudes a timeless charm.

Marketed as "a watch for drivers," its innovative layout, with the LCD digital display tilted to the right relative to the case for easy time checking while holding the steering wheel, showcases a unique presence through functionalist design, characteristic of Giugiaro Design.

For this reissue, SEIKO developed a new caliber. The rotating bezel, incorporating the original "rotary switch," faithfully reproduces the intuitive operation feel for switching between various functions such as alarm, timer, and stopwatch.

On the other hand, specifications have been improved compared to the original model, such as the use of a solid stainless steel bracelet (the original was a folded type) and the ALC light function that makes the LCD clearly visible even in the dark.

The case back is engraved with the Giugiaro Design logo, along with the words "Limited Edition" and the serial number, signifying its status as a limited model.

The regular models come in silver or black, with 3,000 units of each available.

In addition, six exclusive models in collaboration with select shops

are scheduled to be released sequentially from early to mid-December.
