A Watch to Support the Better Lives of All Men Through Movember Activities

In 2003, the Movember Foundation began its charitable activities with the aim of raising awareness for male-specific cancers and mental health issues, having since provided funding for over 1,200 men's health projects. Currently, 5.6 million men worldwide suffer from prostate cancer, and younger men aged 20-30 face a higher risk of developing testicular cancer.

Furthermore, with an estimated 500,000 men dying by suicide each year, it is crucial to raise awareness about "men's health issues," including mental health, and to support them in leading better lives.

Oris first partnered with the Movember Foundation in 2017 and released the new "Oris Movember Edition" in 2018. In line with the name "Movember," a portmanteau of the slang term "Mo" for mustache and "November," the month of the campaign, the strap features a humorous mustache logo.

Through the sale of this watch, Oris aims to raise 100,000 Swiss francs for charitable causes. Oris Chairman Ulrich W. Herzog stated, "Generally, men do not talk much about health issues, and by the time they do, it is often too late." Regarding the partnership with the Movember Foundation, he added, "Oris sincerely wishes for all men to lead better lives, and we are delighted to support the mission of the Movember Foundation."

Additionally, as part of this year's Movember activities, Oris has invited the "Oris Movember Crew," a trio of men making a difference in the lives of men worldwide, to serve as ambassadors. These ambassadors will support the Oris Movember campaign through YouTube, social media, and their own initiatives.
