The Updated "Big Crown Pointer Date"
Since its founding in 1904, Oris has maintained its stance as an independent watchmaker for over a century. The brand's iconic representative model, the "Big Crown Pointer Date," has been reissued to commemorate its 80th anniversary.

The Original Spirit Born in 1938, Recreated in a Modern Package
The "Big Crown Pointer Date," Oris's signature model, has been reissued to celebrate its 80th anniversary. While retaining design details such as the coin bezel, pointer date, and big crown, it has been modernized.
The most notable change is the slimmer case size. The new models are available in 36mm and 40mm, with an option for a bronze case offering a unique texture (the bronze case and green dial are available only in 36mm). The striking dial colors are inspired by the color palette of architect Le Corbusier, adding a stylish touch to the exterior. The dials come in black, green, and blue, with a rich lineup offering a choice between a leather strap or an stainless steel bracelet.
Regarding this renewal, Oris Product Design Engineer Lucas Büchmann commented, "Our aim was to incorporate modern style while preserving the fundamental DNA. We've given it a slightly slimmer silhouette, adopted thinner lugs, and redesigned the crown. It's lighter in both appearance and feel, making it contemporary, yet many of its characteristic features remain intact."
