Breguet Supports Water Conservation Project

Breguet and the Race for Water Foundation announced their partnership at the opening of a special exhibition held at Swatch Plaza during Baselworld 2018 on Saturday, March 24, 2018. The announcement was made in the presence of Marc A. Hayek, President of Breguet, and Marco Simeoni, President of the Race for Water Foundation.

To commemorate this partnership, Breguet created the "Breguet Marine 'Race for Water' Special Edition" (not for sale), a special model of the Marine 5517. This special edition is gifted to the crew of the marine research vessel Race for Water Odyssey, which docks in 35 countries worldwide, and accompanies them on their water conservation mission.

Since being appointed the official marine chronometer manufacturer for the French Royal Navy in 1815, oceanic exploration has continuously inspired Breguet's watchmaking, leading to numerous remarkable inventions useful in maritime navigation. The "Marine" collection, designed in line with this heritage for contemporary times, is the most suitable collection for the objectives of marine scientific research projects.

The "Breguet Marine 'Race for Water' Special Edition" features a lightweight and corrosion-resistant titanium case and a special dial with a Clous de Paris pattern depicting the Race for Water vessel.
