The Exquisite Combination of Guilloché Patterns and a Hand-Engraved Chow Chow

Ahead of Chinese New Year on February 16th, Breguet introduces a timepiece uniquely suited for the Year of the Dog.

The "Classique 7145" features Breguet's traditional guilloché decoration, complemented by a hand-engraved Chow Chow, one of China's most beloved dog breeds. This exquisite piece highlights the meticulous work of the manufacture's artisans, who have breathed life into the artwork.

The gold dial depicts the Chow Chow while simultaneously expressing Breguet's distinctive characteristics through guilloché patterns. The Chow Chow, created through engraving on gold, is rendered using a bas-relief technique within the limited space of the dial. The work was performed using a microscope and a variety of chisels and engraving tools.

The beautifully crafted automatic movement can be admired through the case back, revealing an exquisite and elegant work of art.
