New Colors Arrive for the "Eco-Drive One"

In 2016, Citizen unveiled the "Eco-Drive One," the world's thinnest*1 light-powered Eco-Drive watch, housing a movement just 1.00mm thick. Now, as its successor, two models have been released featuring a refined case design paired with leather straps, and colorways designed to suit any wrist, regardless of gender.

Pastel Hues and Sophisticated Design Adorn the Wrist

The "Eco-Drive One" debuted as the world's thinnest light-powered watch, commemorating the 40th anniversary of the light-powered Eco-Drive watch's release. It achieves a remarkable thinness of just 1.00mm for the movement and 2.98mm*2 for the case housing it. This technological feat is a testament to Citizen's over 40 years of dedication to developing light-powered technology.

A defining design feature of the "Eco-Drive One" is its Duratect α bezel. "Duratect α" is a coined term derived from "Ceramic" and "Metal," referring to a composite material that combines the heat resistance and wear resistance of ceramics with the toughness of metal. This material allows for color expressions with a metallic luster, unlike conventional ceramics.

Leveraging the richness of this color expression, the new models introduce innovative colorways. The case is treated with Citizen's proprietary surface hardening technology, Duratect α, ensuring exceptional scratch resistance.
