Citizen Exceed, a high-function dress watch characterized by its reliable quality and sophisticated design, was born in 1977. Special edition models have now arrived to commemorate its 40th anniversary. This is a limited edition of 400 pieces.

A Limited Edition Where Thinness and Beauty Harmonize
A special edition high-function dress watch has been created to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Citizen Exceed. Based on the slim, three-hand, light-powered Eco-Drive model released in July 2017 to mark the anniversary, the case and band have been treated with Citizen's proprietary surface hardening technology, "Duratect DLC (Diamond Like Carbon)," creating a cool, jet-black aesthetic.
The lustrous mother-of-pearl at the center of the dial presents a unique expression with each piece, offering a different hue depending on the viewing angle.
The case and band, with their elegant proportions and flowing design that enhance the wrist, are crafted from Citizen's proprietary titanium material, "Super Titanium™."
The beautifully polished pure titanium is treated with "Duratect DLC," making it over five times more resistant to scratches than stainless steel while also resolving issues of metal allergies. Its astonishing lightness, approximately half that of stainless steel, is another appealing feature. It offers a comfortable fit and can be cherished for years to come.
The movement features the light-powered Eco-Drive, which captures even faint light from room fluorescent lamps or desk lights to generate power via the built-in solar cell, keeping the watch running. The convenience of not needing battery replacements is also a key characteristic.
Beyond their high functionality, the sophisticated design is also not to be overlooked. These are dress watches where "thinness" and "beauty" are harmonized through Citizen's advanced technology.
