The "SEIKO Astron" is a GPS solar watch that receives signals from satellites anywhere on Earth where the sky is visible, identifies latitude, longitude, and altitude, and quickly displays the accurate local time. Equipped with SEIKO's proprietary high-sensitivity "ring antenna" housed beneath the bezel and the "Smart Sensor" function that automatically adjusts the time by sensing sunlight, it always displays the correct time without causing stress to the user.

This model features the "8X Series Big Date" GPS solar movement. The large calendar display ensures legibility while also serving as a design element that conveys a sophisticated, up-to-date impression. The calm black dial is accented with the sharp blue of the sub-dials and the five natural blue sapphires, adding a subtle touch of brilliance.

Both the front and back surfaces of the sapphire crystal glass are treated with an anti-reflective coating that reduces light reflection by over 99%, allowing for stress-free time reading even in bright sunlight or under strong lighting.
