From the world's first GPS solar watch, <SEIKO ASTRON>, comes an advanced GPS solar chronograph embodying "Giugiaro Design," a leader in the car and industrial design world. The suggested retail price is 300,000 yen (excluding tax), with a limited production of 3,000 units. It is scheduled to go on sale nationwide from Friday, May 26th.

An Homage to the World's First Analog Quartz Chronograph

This model is an homage to the world's first analog quartz chronograph jointly developed by SEIKO and "Giugiaro Design," a leader in the car and industrial design world, in 1983. It also functions as an advanced GPS solar chronograph. While following the original concept of offsetting the center of the case and band to improve stopwatch operability during driving, it has been finished with a sleek form reminiscent of a sports car.

The essence of Giugiaro Design is infused into every detail of this model, from the original hour and minute hands and second markers to the three-dimensional dial ring with its two-piece construction. The subtle incorporation of Italian colors within the black and red palette is another hallmark of Giugiaro Design's appeal. The case back, designed to resemble the wheels of a concept car, features the logo and serial number (0001/3000 to 3000/3000), underscoring its rarity.
