A Shared History of "47 Years"

The special limited edition watch "Zenith El Primero Range Rover," announced through the partnership between Land Rover and Zenith, was revealed at the launch event for the "SVAutobiography Dynamic," the most luxurious and powerful model in Range Rover history.


The reason for the partnership between the two companies dates back to 1969.

In that year, the development team at Rover, a British car manufacturer at the time, began developing the "VELAR," a model that combined Land Rover's off-road capabilities with the comfort of a high-quality saloon. This car is still sold worldwide today as the "Range Rover."

Meanwhile, on January 10, 1969, Zenith announced the "El Primero," the first automatic chronograph caliber in watchmaking history. It is a chronograph watch that accurately keeps time, capable of measuring to the tenth of a second thanks to its "high-beat" oscillator.

Both models, having evolved over 47 years, share the commonality of being products that combine high performance with luxury, leading to the formation of this partnership.

The newly announced "Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic" is the flagship model of the Range Rover line and is described by Land Rover as a full-size SUV with "the most dynamic capability ever." Unlike the extended rear seats found in models like theRange Rover SVAutobiography Long Wheelbase"Range Rover SVAutobiography Long Wheelbase," this model was designed and developed with the driver's perspective in mind.


It is powered by a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine tuned by Jaguar Land Rover's "SVO (Special Vehicle Operations)" division, delivering a maximum output of 550PS and peak torque of 680Nm. The handling has been optimized through the suspension, and the vehicle's ride height is 8mm lower than the standard model.

The exterior features special equipment such as a Graphite Atlas finish, chrome tailpipes, and red Brembo front brake calipers. The interior boasts diamond-quilted leather seats, door panels finished in Grand Black, and anodized red paddle shifters.

The "Zenith El Primero Range Rover," unveiled simultaneously, features a 42mm case made of ceramic aluminum with a dark-toned ceramic coating. The graphite atlas details from the "SVAutobiography Dynamic" are incorporated into the matte gray dial, which also bears the "RANGE ROVER" logo.

The case back is made of sapphire crystal, with a ceramic aluminum base engraved with the words "Special Edition."


It comes with a black rubber strap featuring a DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coated titanium triple-folding clasp. Additionally, a second strap is included: a rubber strap finished in Range Rover Navy perforated leather.
