Grand Seiko: The conservative mainstream that asserts intellect

In recent years, many women have cited "mechanical" as their preferred watch movement. Grand Seiko has also introduced mechanical models for women since 2015, but this new model features a slightly larger case size of 37.3mm compared to previous series. Releasing a former boy-sized watch for women is based on a new concept: using a men's manual-wind movement as a base and adding feminine touches.

The lion emblem on the see-through case back and the Grand Seiko logo at 6 o'clock on the dial are rendered in pink gold. These details lend a feminine touch to the refined face.

A classic form inheriting the spirit of the first Grand Seiko

The new model inherits the classical design aesthetic of the first Grand Seiko, born in 1960. The white dial features a delicate and flowing radial pattern, and the hour markers are shaped into clean, slender forms, creating a sophisticated and feminine design. The blue seconds hand provides an accent, elegantly enhancing a woman's wrist.

Furthermore, the thin case, made possible by the manual-wind movement, is not to be overlooked. If you like to change watches according to your attire, a manual-wind model is more convenient. You can simply wind the mainspring in the morning without worrying about the power reserve. For a model with a calendar function, not having one eliminates the hassle of setting the date. A simple manual-wind model is likely to be highly compatible with women who enjoy changing their watches freely.

In addition to the genuine crocodile strap (navy), this limited edition model comes with a Bordeaux-colored crocodile strap selected by Yuki Amami. The outer surface is a lustrous Bordeaux, while the inner surface is a vibrant pearl pink. By switching straps, you can enjoy two distinct styles.

Since its inception in 1960, Grand Seiko has consistently pursued and achieved the fundamental qualities of a watch—accuracy, legibility, usability, and durability—at the highest level, continuously advancing as a luxury timepiece. Since officially launching its global expansion in 2010, it is now highly regarded in over 30 countries worldwide. As women's roles continue to expand, the lineup of women's models, expressing individuality as a beautiful Japanese watch, will grow, further enhancing Grand Seiko's appeal as a luxury brand.
