"Art du temps" The Art of Time ~Weaving a Luxurious World Together~
Now in its 19th year, the "Mitsukoshi World Watch Fair" is a celebration of timepieces boasting the largest scale in Japan in terms of both size and selection. Around 1,500 square meters will be filled with the latest buzzworthy models announced at this year's Baselworld, SIHH, and WPHH in Switzerland. Pre-sale items exclusive to Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store, limited editions only available at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store, and even globally rare unique pieces will be on offer.
In recent years, watchmaking has seen a coexistence of "innovation and tradition," with a return to origins and the inheritance of craftsmanship alongside technological advancements. "Art" is always present in this process, making timepieces crucial items that create tangible and intangible luxury "value" for the wearer.
This year's theme is "'Art du temps' The Art of Time ~Weaving a Luxurious World Together~." This exhibition will interpret and present "art" not just from an aesthetic perspective, but from many viewpoints including technology, structure, technique, decoration, materials, philosophy, and ideas, expressed through "products," "events," and "displays."
In addition to the products, there will be a rich lineup of events to deepen your appreciation for watches. This exhibition promises to be a valuable experience, fitting for Mitsukoshi, known as a "culture resort."
